LUZ

Raised since she was a baby by a Kaingang community, Luz is a non-indigenous orphan girl, who exudes intelligence and wisdom based on Kaingang values. She was hidden in this community by Baltazar, her grandfather Carlos’ henchman – who blamed the girl’s birth for the events that led to his son’s death. Kidnapped in the maternity ward, Luz’s life was spared by Baltazar, who kept her survival a secret and monitored her growth. Now, 9 years later, Carlos discovers the truth and goes in search of Luz, who manages to escape and hides in a boarding school for rich children. At school, with new friends, she can also unravel the mystery of her origin – the mother who didn’t know she was alive.
